Legal problems faced by British people living in Turkey

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am new to TLF. The main reason I have joined is that I am conducting a research project on the legal problems faced by British people living in Turkey. It is a project backed by the Nuffield Foundation in the UK. I am seeking possible interviewees for the project.

The aims of the project are to discover what legal issues are coming up for British people living in Turkey particularly if they have some property interests there. The main locations of interest are Istanbul and Dalyan although others could be considered if there are important issues arising.

I seek individuals who might be willing to act as interviewees. Full anonymity and confidentiality would be assured and are a part of the ethical commitments I have undertaken to observe for the project research.

I will be in Istanbul 9-13 May 2010 and then again in early July.
I aim to be in Dalyan from mid-July and in August.

My professional details are as follows:

Dr. Prakash Shah
Senior Lecturer
Department of Law, Queen Mary, University of London
Mile End Road, London E1 4NS

As per Forum rules if you want to discuss any issues directly then post to me individually. I can e-mail specific survey questions on request.

Yours sincerely,

Prakash Shah.
