I am very excited!

I have chosen Dalyan as my holiday destination this year in August, and am very excited about the prospect. I have been looking closely at things to do in this area where to eat and any tips on the local area, and was wondering if there are any recommendations from people on here about things.

Here is what I do know, I will be staying at the Dolunay Aparthotel, which I understand is about 10 minutes walk from the centre (although looking at the map I would probably say its a leisurely 20 minutes stroll in the heat!) so any bars and restaurants (especially turkish ones) you can recommend would be gratefully received.

I understand I wont have a problem finding a supermarket, as there seems to be ample for me to buy thngs I may need for breakfast and light snacks. I will be packing plenty of mosquito sprays and repellants to keep the pesky blighters away. Am I advised to bring a torch in case of power cuts?

There seems to be a few travel companies that offer trips such as the 12 island and white water rafting, any thoughts on which ones to do, not too interested in the mud baths as I have already partaken in that experience.

Also, it is my daughter’s birthday while we are there, and I was wondering if there is a confectioners where I can buy a cake from in the village, or will I have to go further afield for it.

Thanking you in advance for any advice and recommendations given. Can’t wait to visit.
